  • I'm certainly not advocating to RuneScape gold dismiss or abolish the polling system and it is a useful instrument in holding the devs to account. On the flip side, the current polling system doesn't function effectively and requires improvements or flexibility to meet the needs of the player base. I can't agree with all the exaggeration on your post about the disregard of polled things when 99 percent of content is left to pick. It's essential to note that the occasions when they have been felt by Jagex had to diverge from the polled result, it was because they felt compelled to by the issues with the voting system.

The VLS addition is a current and clear example of the: Jagex poll several PvP changes/updates that don't pass and do not believe the neighborhood are evaluating the material on objective merit. This implies Jagex take that PvP buffs/content will not ever pass surveys or perform them. Polls either have to be a) pitched to individuals who actively participate in or understand that the relevant content( b) taken as strong advisement rather than gospel( c) lower threshold, or d) simply earn more integrity adjustments.

While occasionally a developer has missed something significant and players can help thembecause it is the players that actually play Runescape--the player base often makes quite dumb decisions because they don't actually spend much time considering what a change could do, they do not have any development experience, and they're often very self-interested. In the case of all OSRS, the players have absolutely vetoed bad thoughts multiple occasions before, however they also have vetoed great ideas, and also the absolute dumbest ideas generally aren't the things that make polled, they're the things which get indicated and upvoted right here on the subreddit.

I feel that way. But I also don't mind the notion of giving the OSRS group more control. Because besides PvP stuff, and a few genuinely dividing upgrades like a ability that is brand new. I feel like that they have a good deal of freedom to style content. It is not like everything they survey gets down shot. Like if they polled DT2, menaphos and raids 3 tomorrow it would pass without it even being close. Sounds like more of a motive to keep the polling system. Will pass. The upgrades a great portion of the player base dislike won't pass.

Another thing to think about is just because something fails a survey doesn't mean it can't be reworked by them and repoll it afterwards. What is great about situations like that is that they will get a good deal of feedback from players and adjust the content before adding it into Runescape. Afterward a group of players will be marginalized for wanting yet another skill or for being Pkers as somebody said though. Eventually they will get jaded and depart Runescape, which I'm convinced Jagex does not want. I honestly voted but with voting towards the groups getting power over decisions and Jagex that actively participate in it. As a pker and cheap OSRS gold somebody who enjoys pvp I think that is my only option.
