PU Notebook-Notebook Paper: How To Find High-Quality Paper?

  • The quality of notebook paper can be very important. The better the thesis, the happier your writing experience will be. Anyone who writes on stationery brand notebooks and premium paper can tell you – the quality of the paper will vary!

Therefore, we decided to compile a list to help you find good things from strengths and weaknesses. See the four signs below to indicate that your writing diary or notebook has high-quality paper.

    1. Finish
It's easy: if the paper is smooth, not only will it look better, but it will also feel good. What you might want to avoid is paper with too much pulp. Too much pulp will cause short fibers, and the pen tip will pick up these short fibers. This is particularly annoying if you are using a pen. (All these tiny fibers will accumulate into annoying fluff and must be removed from the pen.)

However, you may not want the paper to be too smooth. Paper that is too smooth or coated (such as paper in magazines) will be difficult to write. You will not be able to cause the necessary friction of the ballpoint pen, and the ink from the pen will not be easily absorbed into the paper. In summary: you want the paper to be smooth but not too smooth.

    1. Feathering
Feathering refers to the presence of ink stains on the page, especially on the edges of the writing. (For an example, see the image on the right.) This is usually caused by low-grade or thin paper absorbing too much ink. However, high-grade paper usually prevents excessive absorption and ensures that ink remains on the surface.

    2. High opacity
The thinness of the paper is also related to the extent to which the ink bleeds to the other side of the page (or "pass through"). This is related to the "opacity" of the paper (that is, "the characteristics of the paper hinder the transmission of light and the printability of the print.") Generally, the lower the opacity of the paper, the more the ink oozes out. The other side of the page. In extreme cases, ink may seep into the following pages. Anyone with first-hand experience knows – it does not bring a pleasant writing experience! High-quality paper will always have high opacity and little transparency.
    3. The ink dries quickly
Eventually, the speed of pen ink drying on the page has increased. Sometimes this may be related to the choice of ink, but usually the paper will affect the drying time. If the ink dries too slowly: your handwriting can be easily wiped off or stained before entering the page. (This is especially problematic for left-handers, who often rub their fresh writing immediately!) Usually, you want the ink to dry quickly!
